Domain verification

The licence is bound to a server. Nothing about that binding is typed into a configuration file.

How it works

The server name and the domain your licence is registered under are delivered by the Venus backend when it authenticates your server. There is no name or domain option to fill in, and no way for a copy of the server to be renamed into a different licence slot.

The name you give the server in the panel is what history, the webhook and the cloud detections are attributed to. /venus version reports the resolved server name and the cloud connection state.

Changing the registered name

Rename the server in the panel, then restart. Venus picks the new name up on the next start; sessions recorded before the rename keep the name they were recorded with, so history stays readable across the change.

When the cloud is disabled

Domain verification is a cloud concern. With the cloud off, no name is reported anywhere and the local anticheat behaves exactly as it does with the cloud on.
